Questions
What is Baseline Buddy?
Baseline Buddy is an upcoming DevOps service for founders running or planning to run apps on AWS. We plan to set up and maintain your CI/CD pipeline, monitor your app and help with engineer-reviewed fixes. Your infrastructure stays in your AWS account. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when we launch.
Do I need to be on AWS already?
No. If you're planning a move, tell us and we'll talk it through first.
How does the CI/CD pipeline work?
A commit saves your change in Git. The pipeline builds the app, runs tests and security checks, and checks customer journeys in staging. After approval, it deploys to AWS and verifies the live app. Monitoring continues after release. The demo shows a good update, a failed check and recovery from a bad release. Recovery depends on what your app supports.
Do I approve releases, or are they automatic?
You choose. Continuous integration (CI) builds and tests changes. Continuous delivery keeps tested changes ready for your approval before production. Continuous deployment releases automatically after the required checks pass. Try "You approve" and "Automatic" in the CI/CD demo to see the difference.
What will you need from me?
Just your email to join the waitlist. Before any paid work, we'll look at your app and agree on the AWS access we need.
What does early access cost?
It's a paid pilot, priced with you up front. Your AWS usage is billed by AWS as usual.
